X-MAS 1987 by ACE St. Louis Midi SIG - Atari ST Demo - The 25ish Days of Christmas - Day [02/25]

Unfortunately I believe bit rot became a factor, as I found nothing released in 1986, so here is X-MAS 1987 by Atari Computer Enthusiest - St. Louis Midi SIG (Special Interest Group).

No real credits to present here, as the items on this disk were downloaded from various Bulletin Board Systems (BBSes) and assembled to create this package of holiday cheer.  Just as in the first 1985 demo, this demo is using the same backend, with different art and different songs. I do like the variety of images presented here, too.

And now for a little history and behind-the-scenes for this collection:  As of this writing, this video has a Copyright Claim on "The First Nowell" claimed by EMI Music Publishing.  The "The First Noel" aka "The First Nowell" was originally written in 1823 and was of Cornish origin.  The version we hear today, the modern version if you prefer, was arranged by Englishman John Stainer in 1871  (video uses this song's melody).  I think this melody is public domain.  I did file a dispute, and as of this writing, EMI has not yet responded.

Capture info -

This video was captured on October 20, 2019.

The demo was played on an Atari 1040 STf, TOS 1.4, 1MB, equipped with a CosmosEX from Jookie.
A Best Electronics ST Monitor to VGA cable was used, connected to an OSSC 1.6 (processing the video in Line4x mode), with the output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.

Video was edited with Shotcut.
