R-Type PSG - Sega Master System [022] PlayThru

I do not really have too much more to say about this Sega port of the Irem classic R-Type, than what was previously said in the FM playthru release.

NOTE: A trainer was used for making this capture.

I do think I prefer the FM sound over the PSG.  I feel the music is just smoother, and a better fit with FM over the PSG.  Either version of the music/sound effects is good, especially for the time this game was released!

Game was played on a Sega Genesis Model 1.
A HD Retrovision Component cable was used, connected to an OSSC 1.6 (processing the video in Line4x mode), with the output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.
