The first title in this series was released on the Atari ST. Sadly, this one was not. Presented here is the EGA version of the game's intro, running in ScummVM on the Falcon. It looks HORRIBLE, to me anyway. To me, it looks like Sierra put almost no effort into making this game presentable in 16 colors. And this is how the game would have appeared on the Atari ST. As with other Sierra SCI titles of this era, the game runs OK on the Atari version of ScummVM. It is certainly playable. I would just pick up the VGA version that will play in 256 colors instead of this version. I have personally never played this game. One day maybe I will find the time.
The binary used for this game is the same one that was used for Space Quest 4 VGA capture, and can be downloaded from the end of that blog post.
This video was captured on May 20, 2020.
This capture was played on an Atari Falcon equipped with a CT60 clocked at 66 Mhz and a SuperVidel with the DVI and audio output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.
Video was edited with Shotcut.
