Alien Storm - Atari ST [026] PlayThru

Sega's Alien Storm is a port of the arcade game done by Tiertex for US Gold.  The game looks nice. The pixel art is very well drawn.  I think that might be the end of the positives.

Unlike some of the recent shooters I have posted, this game has music and effects while playing.  While the art is good, the animation is very choppy while playing.  And the AI gets real cheap with attacks, very similar to another beat-em-up I have recorded earlier on the ST.  I am sure people would just say blame Tiertex for that.

Overall, I can not really recommend this game.  It looks nice, but plays poorly.

I plan on playing the Sega Master System version, and maybe the Genesis and arcade versions later for a comparison.

This video was captured on December 13, 2018.

The demo was played on an Atari Falcon, 14MB.
A VGA cable was used, connected to an OSSC 1.6 (processing the video in Line2x mode), with the output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.

Video was edited with Shotcut.
