Time Soldiers FM - Sega Master System [008] PlayThru

Title Screen
NOTE: A trainer was used for making this capture.

I picked up this title mainly because I enjoy run and gun titles like Commando, and Ikari Warriors.  Time Soldiers is very similar in play, except that gameplay is not totally linear, something I sort of forgot at a few points when I was playing through this title.  This is a nice change!

Gameplay
I have never actually seen the Arcade Machine in the wild, so I never had first hand experience with those rotary sticks, like Ikari Warriors used.

The graphics are decent, and sound is OK.  I think I actually prefer the FM sound here, even though I was used to the PSG sound from years ago.  Oddly enough, some of the backgrounds reminds me of the backgrounds from The Ninja for some reason.

Boss Fight
I'm not a fan of how the boss fights are handled, but I do understand why it was done that way.  The screen is basically black except for the player and the boss.

Arcade Flyer
Oh, and it suppports two player simultaneous play!  That is relevent when the ST port is posted...

The tune heard in the intro in an Atari POKEY version of the Future World stage music, from the Amiga port of this game.

Decent game, in my opinion, check it out!
