Dragon's Lair II - TimeWarp - Atari ST [008] PlayThru AutoPlay

Title Screen
Think of this capture as a movie, it (and the other five ReadySoft titles) were all run from a hard disk installation to avoid the disk swapping nightmare present on the ST for these titles.

The Atari ST adaption of Dragon's Lair II is by no means complete, just like Dragon's Lair, but if you add the sequel game in, Dragon's Lair III - The Curse of Mordread, it comes a little closer.

Gameplay
I may try to edit the two titles together into one video in the order of the arcade release at a later date to get a better grasp of how much of the game is missing, and how much original content there is between the two titles. The playthru of Dragon's Lair III - The Curse of Mordread has already been recorded and will be posted soon.

Gameplay
I have never seen a Dragon's Lair II machine in the wild. There may have been a couple of them for sale at Arcade auctions in the late 90s.  My main exposure to the game was playing on a DVD player around 2008 or so.  I'm still not a real fan of the game.

Box Front
The ST port?  More of the same, just like Dragon's Lair, the ST effort is decent, the game is way too short, and was definitely a drag with the floppy loading and disk swapping.  Perfect gameplay takes about six minutes from a hard disk, but it takes probably closer to 12 to 15 minutes if playing from floppies.

Magazine Ad
Nice to check out, but a more modern release would be highly advised if interested in Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp at all.

Capture info -

This gameplay was captured on March 25, 2018.

Game was played on an Atari 1040 STf, TOS 1.4, 1MB, equipped with a CosmosEX from Jookie.
A Best Electronics ST Monitor to VGA cable was used, connected to an OSSC 1.6 (processing the video in Line4x mode), with the output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.

Video was edited with Shotcut.
