Atari ST Extra [005] Simon the Sorcerer DOS/CD Intro in ScummVM on CT60 Falcon Roland MT32

Let us now enter the magical world of the game Simon the Sorcerer! This is the DOS CD version, which includes a full speech track.

Once again, for this demonstration, I am using a custom-built ScummVM. This binary is just targeting the AGOS engine, and getting SDL_Timers to work is once again hacked in.  As opposed to the previous capture of The Secret of Monkey Island, this game is producing a good deal of both MIDI and digital audio, which is being mixed in my setup through a mixing board.  The game appears to run quite well on this upgraded Falcon.  I plan, in the future, to also showcase the intro running using the Adlib drivers, and maybe showcasing each different choice available.

This binary was tested only under FreeMiNT, on an ext2 filesystem, compiled for the m68000 target, and absolutely every library and engine that was not needed was stripped out when configuring the build for the AGOS engine.  No support will be provided for this build, and I do not know if it can even be used to complete a game yet!  Download here.

This video was captured on May 10, 2020.

This capture was played on an Atari Falcon equipped with a CT60 clocked at 66 Mhz and a SuperVidel
with the DVI and audio output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.

Video was edited with Shotcut.
