Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - The Action Game - Atari ST [028] PlayThru

This is going to be a game that will be challenging to say much that is positive.  I remember playing this game in the early 90s, but I had forgotten it until I fired it up on the Falcon.

NOTE: A trainer was used for making this capture.

In 1989, two games based on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were made: a graphic adventure, and an action game (both titles were released on the Atari ST and other platforms).  This posting is for the action game; Tiertex authored this game.

And, I have to say, this game is horrible.  The art is good, but the controls are bad, and the platforming is horrible.  There is no background music while playing, just sound effects.  And, did I say the platforming was horrible?

Unfortunately, I had to edit out my numerous CHEAP DEATHs from the video due to the horrible hit box, or platforming of the game.  It only appears on the screen that you are landing on the platform, it did not really happen though........  Oh, and you do not need to see where you are headed, just die a few times and climb back to the same spot.....  Ugh......

I think the only other positive I have for this game is the intro chip tune is pretty decent.

Otherwise, unless you are a die hard Indy fan, this game is definitely a pass.  I also have the time on the Sega Master System, so I might attempt a playthu on it as well.

This video was captured on December 19, 2018.

The game was played on an Atari Falcon, 14MB.
A VGA cable was used, connected to an OSSC 1.6 (processing the video in Line2x mode), with the output being captured by a Startech USB3HDCAP.

Video was edited with Shotcut.
