Atari ST Demo / Intro [097] Frontier BBS Demo by The Light Team

I have got to say, I love it when a plan comes together, to borrow Hannibal's signature phrase from the 1980s A-Team TV series.  Why you say?  Well, it was an accident, and not actual planning, but this video release is coinciding with the release of Retro PlayThrus CD #29, which is dedicated to BBStros and celebrating the DemoZoo addition.  That disk will be posted 1 hour after the video drops at the blog.  The CD collection was originally assembled in March, but was always slated for a May 2 release.  Video production had hit a snag from the work to do a recovery on the neo-geo.com forums, so time management became a HUGE issue. 

The BBStro itself is nice, although I am not a fan of how fast the background elements are moving behind the scroll text in the bottom half of the screen.  One of the moving backgrounds is easy to read, but the other is quite difficult, and the moving violet covered sprite does not help either.  The scroller is easy to read; choosing white for the lettering here was a good choice.  Chip music plays in the background to complete this screen.  I do not recognize the tune used here though.  This is a nice screen, but for a BBS advert, the phone number is not really front and center, in my opinion.
